"Buyers be wary when dealing with this…"
Buyers be wary when dealing with this company. Once the bed was delivered to my home (no small feat) and unrolled it became an absolutely horrible mattress. I had the miss fortune to realize an issue 375 days into ownership. The mattress smelled too high heaven. The odor permeated the bedroom and seeped into other rooms as well. The mattress cover smelled; the sheets had to be washed daily to help the issue. Finally, all bed covering had to be tossed. Pillows, sheets, and comforters. A nightmare.
To put it bluntly, this company is incredibly poorly run. The customer service department is populated with children. The responses from the representatives were juvenile, meandering, and word salads. No thought went into the answers – perhaps the script had been misplaced.
I was instructed to buy an essential oil like peppermint and spray the mattress. Or just take it outside to air out in the sun. I reside in an apartment building. I just hung up and went mattress shopping. I purchased a Sealy Posturepedic queen mattress and a new box spring. The firm I purchased from removed the Avocado Queen overpriced mess and the box spring. I ordered new pillows and replacement sheets. I took a financial hit on this transaction with Avocado. The warranty is worthless. They simply can't be trusted.

"Incredibly difficult to get through to…"
Incredibly difficult to get through to customer service once you have purchased a product. The product is good, but the service is non-existent.

"Scratchy sheets; lousy return policy"
Bought two sets of organic sheets. Washed one, not soft at all, and can't imagine it getting much better. Did not open the other one. Could return only one set as there is some small print in their policy saying that only one set of sheets per household can be returned. I returned the unopened set and will just cut my losses. Won't be using this company again. Customer service was polite but the policy is policy.

Just a terrible experience. Ordered a mattress, base, and paid for in home delivery and hauling of old mattress. Order never shipped so I called to cancel nearly a month later. No apology and only a partial refund - they claim they are entitled to keep $254.70 for in home delivery and old mattress hauling because I cancelled the order. Clearly no one delivered my mattress or removed my old one because Avocado never shipped it. Customer service is an absolute joke IF they even answer the phone. What a terrible company. Definitely don't get involved with this shady company.

"Not recommended"
I ordered a bed frame, was told it would be ready to ship in two weeks, two months later I just received an impersonal email stating that my order had been cancelled. Good marketing, horrible follow through. I wanted to go with a local, sustainable company. I should have given the other reviews more credibility.

"Poorly made products, bad customer service"
I purchased an Eco Organic Kids mattress from Avocado and received in on August 23rd. The mattress is a combo spring and foam mattress. The item arrived rolled up tightly in a spiral, like most foam mattresses are shipped. I unrolled the mattress and let it settle into shape for a week prior to putting it on the bed frame. When I placed it on the bed frame I noticed a large buckle across the top of the mattress. After pressing, laying, stretching, the lump would not recede at all. We have no other options but to let my child sleep on this mattress with a huge lump in it. And after 2 weeks of her sleeping on it, the buckling is still the same. I have tried to return the mattress but Avocado has stated it can't be returned until after the 30 day waiting period. It's a faulty product. Why do I have to wait to fulfill their lazy policy? Any other FAULTY product would be returnable, no questions asked. The product stinks, and the customer service isn't any better.

"We ordered a crib mattress"
We ordered a crib mattress. It was not even a safe size for the crib (shorter than advertised and shorter than what is considered safe for a newborn). It was also dis-formed with lumps, and not firm at all. I contacted the company immediately and they made me wait the 30 days to return a defective product. Their return policy forces you to jump through hoops that took almost 2 weeks to get through all the hoops and get my refund. At no point were the staff (or possibly robots you interact with in email) listening to my concerns about the mattress. They force you to donate the mattress to get your refund. So, I had to donate a mattress to a local charity where I told them this was a defective product, but I had to do this so I can get a refund. They looked at me with such puzzled looks and took it. I would look elsewhere for a mattress. This company does not produce quality products and they do not make a return for a defective product easy.

My husband and just purchased the top of the line Avocado Green mattress and we paid for white glove delivery ($300). They brought the mattress in the house but would not remove our old one because of “COVID “. You can not speak to someone directly. You have to message them. No one has responded. This company is a joke! The stores that sell these mattresses do not have telephone numbers. They do state that you can return this mattress but when you can’t communicate with them how is that! Delivery men came into my house to put mattress on the bed but wouldn’t take old mattress away. How does “COVID “ make that possible when there actually in your house. Do not buy from them. We bought this mattress because it was rated number 1 in Consumer Reports. You can’t even trust them. This is ridiculous!

"Dishonest Specs"
Deceptive, dishonest specs. I ordered the Eco Adjustable Bed Frame, advertised and marketed that it is made from 100% GOTS organic certified cotton, is OEKO-TEX certified, and made in India. Upon arrival, the federal mattress tag states it is not organic cotton, not OEKO-TEX certified, and made in Thailand. Avocado to date has not meaningfully addressed my concerns nor compensated me for the false, deceptive labeling. As many others have written, customer service is terrible, but also bizarre. They operate by email and instead of answering direct questions, they constantly defer and deflect to another "team." I insisted that a supervisor call me, and no one ever did. An assistant manager later emailed me, ignoring direct questions, again not addressing my concerns, and forwarding me misleading articles from other Avocado "teams" that do not speak to the dishonesty.
